Windows XP users might get a "ActivityMonitor / FSFilterTop has not passed Windows Logo testing" during setup:

The software you are installing for this hardware FSFiltertop / ActivityMonitor has not passed Windows Logo testing tp verify its compatibility with Windows XP. This hardware will not be installed.

This error message would appear if Windows is configured to install only Logo tested drivers. You can safely allow the install (hit "continue"), or if the "continue" button is not present, follow these steps:

  1. Right click on My Computer then select Properties to open System Properties.

  2. In “System Properties” dialog box, select the "Hardware" tab.

  3. Click on "Driver Signing" button.

  4. In the “Driver Signing Options” dialog box,  select "Warn – Prompt me each time to choose an action".

If you have any questions, or cannot complete the action, please email us at and we'd be happy to help out.

Finally an answer that makes sense! Many others have had this aggravating pop-up "warning" and thought the vendor was at fault or hacked, and not all vendors apparently know about this.
