It would be nice to have an app that lets you remove apps, locate phone, and do a remote wipe all from Soluto
Also back up data from device, remote install apps, lock up phone and some prey similar features?
Building off the Android app, it would be very useful to initiate commands review PCs attached to the account from the Android app, also.
Thank you all for sharing your ideas! We are planning to build apps for Android and we'll definitely consider those ideas.
This is a brilliant idea, it would be awesome to manage my family's machines on the go.
I don't want soluto to do anything that 100's of other apps already do. Wipe & location are pointless. What I want is soluto to do exactly what it does on windows. For example, my android phone(s) and tablet both take way too long to boot up. I want to know why. I have a ton of crap installed and I know this but I only want to uninstall what is causing the problem not random stuff.
Secondly, if you could add screen sharing on soluto that would be fantastic. My father has an android phone and he can't figure out why google maps keeps crashing (and neither can I). If he could show me this happening I would be able to debug better.
Thanks for the fantastic work so far, it's very nice to use an app with a kickass UI. It makes you want to use the application even more.
Gaurav - why dont you want to have other things like wipe and location on soluto, i know other apps have that but i would rather soluto do it, it will probably look better and having more things in one place the better i say.
i do agree with having the ability to support the phone and not just the PC's from the phone, my tab also takes a while to boot, i put it down to the encryption on it but it would be nice to know.
There are already excelent programs that locate, wipe, lock the phone, etc. I personally use the same security suite for my pc and the android's version. As for security I think there would be no way that Soluto would be hable to compete with at least the solution I already use. I do think it would be best that the soluto android program delivers the already existing soluto funcionalities in a way that is easier to use on android's touchscreen
In addition to the above suggestions, maybe have the Android application check if it's rooted or not. If the device is rooted, give the ability to remove applications, backup applications, maybe Flash ROMs through a OpenRecoveryScript-compatible recovery (like GooManager BETA does). View Storage space of the SD Card, Data and System partitions. Suggested applications (like the PC Soluto) where clicking the install button would open up the corresponding Play Store page. Push notifications for Frustrations and cutting boot times on PCs being supported by the user (all the features of the web interface) in addition to the Android specific things above.
I look forward to.
Wonderful idea (:
I don't necessarily want to have an app that lets me manage my Android device, I can manage my device myself :)
Though an app with which you can control other PCs, that'd be awesome!
@Rick - Yes, thats exactly what the android market needs. Yet another app to remote into your computer.
@Gaurav: No no, that's not what I meant. I mean an app that works just like Soluto's web interface, but then on your Android device :)
It would be nice to have a companion Android app of Soluto that shows all the info that Soluto already displays but in an interface suitable for smart phones or tablets and with notification alerts.
i woukld be even nice for ipad
Why iOS always gets the app's before? The android has more development possibilities for being open platform.
I would love to be able to use Soluto from my Android phone and on it too and would also like to be able to see what apps are causing problems on a phone and to be able to uninstall them or any program really, for me I say that because currently I am using Soluto on my daughter's iPhone so I would like to be able to keep tabs on what is on her phone if need be, not that it has been an issue, but just in case ya know and then being able to run her back up to iCloud remotely would be great too.
@Filipe Fleming, software companies thinking iOS users are rich.. its nature of it. But software companies are not searching for it enough. There must be poll about it. Most of companies nor IT departments (on world wide!) are using Android devices.. if im not remembering wrong, poll and topic was on http://www.businessinsider.com .
Hi Branden, we're working to add that feature to android phones as well. More and more features are coming soon.
