I tihnk, the biggest problem with it, that the drivers are very hard topic, for example, when i use an universal driver pack for install desktop PCs, it works perfectly, but when i use it with notebook, netbook, the hardware detection has mistakes (sound cards and VGAs are the problems source).

If you make a driver part, please separate the desktop, notebook/netbook, and accessories subcategories. (for example, dell xps m1330 has an old drivers in the dell support page, but it can be update from the manufacturer's support page - Nvidia driver, intel chipset driver..... .I think, you can make it, if you want, i can help. When i install a notebook, i always search the newest, and stable driver for it, and when everything ok, i can send to you the newest, workable driver update)

I know, that it is a long and hard work, but i think, with this idea, this function will be more better, than the rivals solutions.

But this is just an idea. I hope, i can help.

Slimdrivers is an awesome and easy way to update drivers. If it could be integrated into Soluto it would be awesome.

I would be very cautious with this: new does not always mean better! In other words the old adage "If it ain't broke don't fix it!" applies here....

You are correct Ronald, and this is a top concern for us.

You need care when updating drivers especially in the Windows system as an existing driver may have more usability

than it's replacement, due to the fact that windows will replace a missing driver with a generic if it can't find an upgrade.

I prefer using Soluto for what it's good for.  I use Drivermax for updating system drivers only because it allows you to rollback. backup/restore and create system restores while obtaining new drivers for your computer.
